Sanchez Ceren: “I apologize for the damage caused during the war in El Salvador”
FMLN’S presidential candidate, Salvador Sanchez Ceren, apologized to the people of El Salvador for damages caused during the 12 years (1980-1992) of war in El Salvador.
"I apologize for the damage caused during the war in which I was a direct player," snapped the candidate in his speech in the Commemoration Event of the XXII Anniversary of the Signing of The Peace Accord of 1992.
The presidential candidate also highlighted the role played by Archbishop Arturo Rivera Damas, Jose Napoleon Duarte and Shafik Handal in negotiating the cessation of the armed conflict.
In his speech, Sanchez Ceren also pledged to maintain clear rules on investment, exchange rates and economic growth. Tags:
