ARENA’s presidential candidate, Norman Quijano, shakes hands with prominent MS-13 gang member
ARENA’s presidential candidate, Norman Quijano, shakes hands with "Charly", a prominent MS-13 gang member, who also acts as representative of District 18 in the Municipality of Ilopango, San Salvador.
The meeting between Charly and Presidential Candidate Norman Quijano took place during a town get-together event on Monday, November 25, 2013.
"Charly" happily received the uniforms from Quijano, then they proceeded to shake hands, like two partners closing a deal.
This gang member has been the representative of the Dialogue Roundtable created by the mayor of Ilopaneco, Salvador Ruano, ARENA’s strongman in Ilopango. In these round tables meetings, there is also participation of other MS-13 gang members.
Quijano denies the act. He says he has never spoken, nor shaken hands with any gang member.
