Salvador Sanchez Cerén will equip schools with computers in El Salvador
FMLN’s presidential candidate and Vice President of El Salvador, Salvador Sanchez Ceren, said yesterday that, if elected president, he will invest in technology and training for teachers and students to improve education in El Salvador.
"Teachers and students will have access to computers as part my government plan. To improve the quality in our education system, we have to invest in teachers and technology. Teachers will be trained and a computer will be given to them, so that they can conduct classroom lessons using the latest technology” said Sanchez Ceren, during a ceremony in which ALBA Foundation donated more than 4,000 computers to the Ministry of Education.
The announcement was made in CIFCO (El Salvador International Convention Center) where an emotional Sanchez Ceren appeared and said that one of his greatest dreams was to improve the education system in El Salvador.
“Education is the greatest gift a nation can give to its citizens” said Sanchez Ceren. He also recalled that providing shoes, uniforms and school supplies to all children in El Salvador is an effort to level the playing field for all Salvadoran students.
