Yesterday in a radio talk show, in contradictory terms, Lisseth Quijano, daughter of ARENA presidential candidate, Norman Quijano, criticized the Funes Administration, but at the same time approved and applauded one of the most recognized social initiatives of the Funes Administration: Ciudad Mujer, an innovative social service for the integration of women in all aspects of Salvadoran life, from health care provision, to technical training, to creating a new business. The statements of the daughter of Quijano were given during an interview this past Wednesday at Radio Sonora in San Salvador.
When she was asked, should Ciudad Mujer Continue, “definitely, any government program that benefits the Salvadoran people, of course, it should continue” she answered in a tone that greatly differentiates from her political party and her dad, who until now does not include keeping Ciudad Mujer in his program, despite the fact that it has benefited over 200,000 Salvadoran women.
FMLNs presidential ticket, Salvador and Oscar, has publicly repeated that Ciudad Mujer is the starship of the social agenda taking place in El Salvador and it is included in the FMLN’s Government Plan.
